Did the human-animal bond save mountain gorillas?

Dian Fossey’s love of animals led her to devote and ultimately give her life to saving mountain gorillas in the wild. Our love of animals led us to follow in her footsteps. As we will show, mountain gorillas are magnificent animals and work with them is easy to romanticize. In actuality we discovered that special personal attributes are required to persevere. We will explore some of these key personality features that we have come to discover.
Dr. Dieter and Netzin Steklis
are Primatologists at the University of Arizona with over 25 years’ experience studying monkeys and apes in the wild.
