We've been working hard since our last event in April, and for our second event we've got some artists and DJs that we've been chasing for a while, some since we first started out with this night. So, without further ado, for Ambush number 13 we present:
MAK & PASTEMAN [Materials / Lobster Boy / Naked Naked]
With them meeting across the Leeds music scene, Mak & Pasteman joined forces in 2011, both with a passion for UK underground music and a thirst for producing. Rising through the ranks, the pair formed a unique imprint on bass music, with past influences helping to craft a sound that sits between House, Techno & Jungle. Continuing to push what they enjoy has seen them gain releases on Redlight's 'Lobster Boy Records' & Breach's 'Naked Naked' and much support from accross the scene.
Now with their own label, Materials, a label designed to reflect the texture in their music along with their various expansive influences, they're continuing to push their unique sound to a wider audience that ever. Along with this new label the pair will also be joining the Rinse FM roster, showcasing materials (geddit?) from the label as well as giving fans a wider taste of their own musical spectrum. Mak and Pasteman will continue to deliver a sound that is both uncompromising and true to their roots.
Having seen these guys perform a couple of times we can attest to their ability. It's gonna be a party.

MELLA DEE [Digital Soundboy]
This guy was our first ever booking for our night, and has remained one of our favourites since.
Mella Dee’s sound has evolved from a avid passion for a wide variety of underground sounds; including, Jungle, Techno, Garage, Dubstep and House. Together these influences have enabled Mella Dee to develop a unique approach to the fusion of these sounds, into something that is undeniably a real UK sound, which has gained him extensive support from key tastemakers.
Northern heritage shines through in Mella Dee’s sound as glimmers of the influence from his hometown’s legendary venue the Doncaster Warehouse and the nearby Niche nightclub, Sheffield can be heard in his productions..

Benny Kane's destruction of dancefloors the world over continues, heralding a fiercesome reputation for fast paced, action packed sets mixing House, Garage, Grime and Bass.

JUXTAPOSER [Deep Trouble]
Tom Jenkins, AKA Juxtaposer, has been running nights in Norwich for the best part of 6 years, and along with a handful of other promoters has helped transform Norwich in to a city with a hell of a clubbing reputation.

Currently heading up the Deep Trouble night, he's helped bring some of the biggest house DJs in the world (see: Duke Dumont, Gorgon City, Justin Martin etc.), to Norwich, which is no small feat. Probably the finest DJ the city has to offer, and a good friend of us here at Ambush, we're really excited to bring him up for his Sheffield debut.
