Every Friday Lula Music and Arts Centre presents a free concert showcasing both local and visiting world and jazz performers. Doors open at 6:30 for cocktails and dinner reservations. No cover before 8pm!

Beverly Taft

For this Portuguese and English tribute to Jobim and his contemporaries, vocalist Beverly Taft will be joined by pianist Adrean Farrugia and saxman Chris Gale. Together they've been part of the “Bossa Nova Project” for nearly ten years, performing at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival as well as the mainstage of the Peterborough Jazz Festival.
The press has described Beverly's singing as “intelligent,” “charming,” “delightful,” “full of energy” and “100 per cent pure beautiful jazz.” She loves the music and lyrics of the classic bossa nova era of the ‘50s and ‘60s, and is always finding new gems to share.
