So in the absence of any actual paddling for a little while now, the least we could do is get together for a couple of quiet drinks... So we're going to meet at Ye Olde Smack in Old Leigh (www.taylor-walker.co.uk/pub/ye-olde-smack-leigh-on-sea/c3865/) from about 7.30 and see what happens. With any luck we might be able to occupy a table or two and may even manage to persuade some food out of the kitchen, but we've not booked so there really are no guarantees. No wetsuit required – and for a change, even leashes are entirely optional!
