Eve Boyle and Ben Pittman are Frets With Benefits. After performing extensively in some of Newcastle’s best bands, this new acoustic venture offers a more intimate outlet for these two musicians to share their talents and love of great music. Eve’s soulful vocals take inspiration from artists such as Jill Scott and D’Angelo to name a few. Her voice, combined with Ben’s acoustic guitar, harmonies, looping and Stomp box creates a soundscape that is fundamentally funky. Their style and song selection naturally creates an atmosphere for people to kick back, relax, sing along and enjoy each other’s company.

“We love to keep it fresh at gigs. Sometimes we’ll spice up an old classic giving it a funky new feel or even mash it up with another tune. Or we’ll take a modern radio hit, strip it right back and give it a new cool vibe in the style of an artist that influences us… It allows us to get really creative and have some fun.” Ben said when describing a Frets With Benefits show.
