The course cost is just $12 per child for the hour.
Each child receives a certificate, a sticker, a worksheet and an emergency contact numbers magnet.

Topics are as follows:

Bleeding

Discuss some gross facts! i.e. How much blood do you have in your body? How far do you think all of your veins and arteries and capillaries would stretch?
What do you do if you or your friend is bleeding?
Discuss bandaids and bandages.
Kids practice bandaging each other up.
What do you do for a nose bleed?
Who do you call if you can't stop the bleeding?

Bites & Stings

What do you do if you are bitten or stung by a snake, spider, ant, bee or blue bottle?
Activity sheet and discussion.

Asthma Management

Who here has Asthma or knows someone with Asthma?
Discuss what Asthma is, what it feels like and show how kids can help their friends having an Asthma attack.

CPR

What is 'unconscious'? How do you know you're breathing?
Teach the kids when you would do CPR and show how to do CPR using mannequins. Everyone gets the chance to practice CPR on our mannequin 'family'.
