Thomas Klaps, DJ known as KLAPS and a real electronic music enthusiast, is a native of Paal, Limburg. As an upcoming face behind the decks, in the proximity of Antwerp and Limburg, he takes you through a fierce trip where techno and acid rule. His records state several events, where he shared the stage with producers such as Marcel Fengler, Marco Bailey and Amelie Lens. Furthermore, Klaps organizes and plays for the music collectives Doenker, Floorfiller and Aftrwhat, which had several events and festivals since 2012. That same year he took off on the music contest DJ-Mania, which is focused on upcoming DJ talent in Limburg. J.KØPS is the phonetic conversion of the last name of Arno Jacobs. Around his sweet sixteen, he got in touch with electronic music. Electro and house were the first styles of an infinite universe of contemporary dance music that struck him. It didn’t take too long before the decision was made to get into the world of turntablism, and more in particular in becoming a DJ. Consequential to this small but very important stimulus, the redirection to techno became a reality. His career as a DJ started off with some local gigs, together with some friends. And in a series of events, a promising project was founded by him and his friends: Aftrwhat. Through this organization, chances were created to obtain more gigs at local festivals, various events and a residency at Aftrwhat. Recently, the musical route of J.KØPS has been extended to what could be considered the right choice for any artist that takes music seriously: the production of music itself. Working together with other producers of the Aftrwhat family like Dimster & Tiggeri, Unclesand and Ben Solar, one just have to wait to hear a result anytime soon in the future. CELLINI, as he is called, wields an extreme wide array of powerful sounds; sometimes deep and emotional, yet sometimes powerful and ecstatic. A harmonic blend between wandering sounds and kicking drums is the receipt of Cellini’s productions. Reading the mind and soul of his audience, Cellini takes you on a journey through the deepest parts of the techno spectrum and translates infinite depth into audible sounds. Loud banging techno, that's what SHDDR stands for. With gigs at Ockxfest, Putrock and FloorFiller Festival they already put Limburg on fire more than once.
