The Charlottetown Islanders have announced that registration is now open for the Isles Ball Hockey Jamboree 2015. The popular street hockey event is scheduled for Saturday, September 5 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.

The one-day event, which is being held for the 2nd year, will take place on Kent Street (between University Ave and Prince Street) in Downtown Charlottetown. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. and games start promptly at 8 a.m.

The event is open to boys and girls 12 and under and is free of charge. Teams will consist of up to four players and will be joined by an Islanders player or coach. Each team will be guaranteed four games in the rain-or-shine event.

Every player will also receive an Islanders T-shirt, Islanders Kit Bag and Ticket to the Islanders Home Opener game vs Halifax Mooseheads. Family and friends are welcome to attend the event with the recommendation that they bring lawn chairs for seating.

In addition to the ball hockey games, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy autographs and picture opportunities with Islanders players, a free BBQ, face painting, giveaways from Old Dutch, Coca Cola, Hot 105.5 & Ocean 100. Following the ball hockey event will be the official introduction of the 2015/16 Charlottetown Islanders roster.

Registration will close Aug. 28 at 4 p.m. or when registration is full.
