Join us Saturday, July 15 for a special BC Swing Dance Club lesson and dance in downtown Vancouver. We will be in the Birmingham Studio on the 3rd floor of the Scotiabank Dance Centre at the northeast corner of Granville and Davie streets. Take the elevator (or stairs) up one floor, go straight down the hall, turn right, and go to the end of the hall.

Michael and Amy Shibasaki will be teaching the choreography for the International Flashmob West Coast Swing 2017 (Official) from 7:30-8:30. Michael and Amy's story began in 2008 when they met at a west coast swing dance and decided to become practice partners to improve their dancing. Along the way, Michael and Amy fell in love and got married. Now they want to share our love of the dance with you – by offering you a friendly, relaxed learning environment to get you comfortable enough to have lots of fun on the dance floor. Both currently compete several times a year (at Advanced and Intermediate level) and continuously look to upgrade and hone their teaching and dance skills.

You do not need a partner for this lesson; we will do the usual workshop rotating of partners. However, if you plan to participate in the flashmob performance in September you will need a partner by then. Perhaps you can find one in the rotation! :-)

There will be no beginner lesson in July.

Doors: 7:15 pm
Lesson: 7:30-8:30 pm
Dancing: 8:30 - 11:30
