Вечеринка: Alexis Iammarino Visual Art/ Dance Workshop

Join visiting artists Alexis Iammarino and Andy White, faculty, and students for a one-day workshop to plan for and use structured improvisations as a way to both share and stir up your creative process as a dancer, visual artist, musician, researcher, thinker/maker or curious passer-by!

In this workshop, we will investigate video, dance, drawing, and painting to generate material for improvisational scores.

Alexis Iammarino is an interdisciplinary artist based in Rockland, Maine.

She has taught, performed, produced, and exhibited works throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, including with Dance Exchange in Washington, D.C. and at the Meridian Gallery in San Francisco, CA. She holds a BA in Studio Art from Goucher College and MA in Community Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She currently belongs to a collective of artists who work and organize at The Steel House in Rockland.

She is a teaching artist and facilitates community arts projects throughout the Midcoast of Maine and is the Community Arts Facilitator & Consultant/Festival Artist for a+s works on the farm, a dance festival and artist retreat in Hornell, N.Y.

Andrew White is an artist living and working in Midcoast Maine.
His process involves drawing, line and structure. He is a founding member of MidcoLabs, a workspace that fosters creativity and collaboration between its members.
