“MOST OF ALL YOU NEED THE FUNK” (G. Clinton – Funkadelic)

Two of the founding members of internationally renowned Techno-funk aggressives, Chelmsford’s Nitzer Ebb,
David Gooday and Simon Granger present to us STARK who will perform their blend of self named retroelectrotuncfunc.
From their inception in 1980 to now, this will be a live set which is a kind of mixtape of electronic music from then and now, looking backwards to go forwards.
Making this even more special, STARK will be joined by existing
Nitzer Ebb creative force BON HARRIS. This will be the first and probably last time, that 75% of the original NE line up perform in Chelmsford. We think we may have woken some Europeans up!

Starting the evening, we invite one of Chelmsford’s old faces, a man who used to open for LIAM HOWLETT before The Prodigy began, Craig ‘electro’ White, to open the evening and join the dots between the Go Go, the punk, the electro, the hard funk, paving the way to STARK.

RUBBER SOUL regulars, IAN WRIGHT AND DAVID ARSCOTT will cook up the sounds from Deep funk to Punk funk, from Tamla to Disco. From 67 to 87. Paying homage to the masters From Midnight.

BASSMENTS Residents pick up the reins from 2am.
