MK Ultra was a series of clandestine experiments by the CIA who administered LSD onto human subjects to explore the potential of thought control and to seek new interrogation techniques. The techniques were used in conjunction with audio / video over stimulation that aimed to "clean the slate" of the subject's consciousness.
